"Concrete Skies" Photography Project

“Concrete Skies” is an exploration of the architecture of my hometown - Kraków, Poland. This project explores the game of contrast between historical and contemporary or conservative and avant-garde styles as today, we can still explore the modernist and brutalist architecture, Romanesque churches or communist housing blocks.

My photographic compositions aim to challenge the viewer’s perception of time and space, showing how much the architecture in Krakow has changed over the centuries, in style, form and function and how it still continues to reshape the city. My aim is to create a perceptual challenge as two visually distinct styles, traditional and modern, come together and collide, making them look as a single moment in time.
